About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum and help increase and retain student enrollment. You will support each student’s musical growth and enjoyment while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes creating an excellent customer experience and building lasting relationships with students and their families.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as guitar, keyboard, or bass.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share each student’s progress and goals with the student and/or their parent.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
