About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count while helping each student grow, develop, and enjoy playing music, and nurture a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role calls for a Customer First mindset and a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, teach lessons, and assist with customer service as needed. You will also communicate frequently with students and families about student progress and goals, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their children.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
- Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
