Part Time Music Teacher
About The Position
Responsible for carrying out the NYS music curriculum, developing lesson plans, teaching general styles of music, and incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons. This role requires knowledge of liturgical hymns and the ability to teach them. The teacher will also conduct productions/performances, prepare students for school concerts, and create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and foster an appreciation for music. Strong knowledge of technology and its utilization to enhance music instruction, including Google Classroom experience, is essential.

Responsibilities

- Conducting production/performances: Lower School Christmas pageant and Sprint Concert for Upper School
- Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences
- Communicating well with parents
- Creating an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in appreciation of music
- Utilizing technology to enhance music instruction
