About The Position
As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical growth and enjoyment. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and calls for a Customer First mindset and excellent customer experiences. You will work with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, communicate regularly with students and families about progress and goals, and assist with customer service as needed. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the applicant will teach.
Responsibilities
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs.
- Help increase student enrollment and support students’ continued growth and enjoyment of music.
- Assist with customer service and build long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share students’ progress and goals with students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
