About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You help grow student enrollment and support each student’s ongoing development and enjoyment of playing music, while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also contributes to a positive customer experience and the store’s lessons program.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as bass, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and valuing parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share each student’s goals and progress with the student and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
