About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment while supporting students’ continued musical development and enjoyment, and nurture a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also supports an excellent customer experience and long-term student relationships through service and communication.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed to build and maintain long-term student relationships and create a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or parents.
Frequently share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
