About The Position
The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role supports student growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music while helping increase and retain student enrollment. The teacher contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and their families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents frequently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
