About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, builds positive relationships with students and parents, and helps students set goals and track their progress. The teacher works with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention, while sharing musical expertise to inspire learning and student growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role is part of a company focused on music education and creating lifelong musicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
