About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You work to grow student enrollment and help each student continue to develop and enjoy playing music while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes providing an excellent customer experience and helping build long-term student relationships. You partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs. You communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, and work with parents as partners in their child's musical development. You may also assist with customer service as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents' knowledge of their child's learning.
Share student goals and progress frequently with students and/or parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
