About The Position
Bach to Rock in Nanuet is a modern, performance-based music school dedicated to teaching students of all ages how to play the music they love. We are a supportive, high-energy team that values creativity, professionalism, and student growth. We are currently seeking experienced instructors who can teach private lessons, coach rock bands, and confidently play two or more instruments. Core needs include guitar, drums, keyboard, and bass. We also welcome instructors who teach orchestral instruments such as violin, viola, cello, woodwinds, or brass. Our Environment Our school features: Private lesson rooms Dedicated band rehearsal rooms Recording studio and control room Performance space DJ lab What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in music theory and technique, experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels, and the ability to lead and coach ensembles. You should be confident, engaging, and passionate about helping students grow both musically and personally. We value instructors who are patient, creative, organized, and excited to be part of a collaborative team. The Bach to Rock Method At Bach to Rock®, our step-by-step curriculum makes learning music easy for kids and adults. Students get to learn songs by their favorite artists and perform on-stage with peers! Music Made Fun! At Bach to Rock, students choose which songs and genres they want to play, making lessons more fun! Band & Glee Programs Through our Band and Glee Club programs, students get to play music with peers, a key skill for growing musicians! Live Performances Bach to Rock gives students the chance to perform live at local music venues, helping students build confidence on stage! One-on-One Lessons In private music lessons, our students learn one-on-one from some of the most talented music educators in the area. Early Childhood Classes Music is valuable for early childhood development! We offer programs for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students. Making Music Education Fun in Nanuet! At Bach to Rock, students unlock a passion for music by playing the songs they love! Our unique approach to music education combines one-on-one instruction with group practice and performance. In lessons, students learn the foundational skills they need to be proficient in technique and theory. Meanwhile, by joining a Bach to Rock band, students get to showcase their abilities, gain confidence on stage, and build teamwork skills with their peers.

- Applicants should be located in Rockland County, Bergen County, or a nearby New Jersey county.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging private lessons tailored to individual student goals
- Coach and lead rock band rehearsals
- Teach music theory, technique, and performance skills
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with parents
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
- Support and lead recitals, concerts, and live performances
- Assist with Bach to Rock events, camps, workshops, and community performances
- Represent the school professionally and serve as a positive, welcoming face of the Bach to Rock brand within the community
