About The Position

This position is for a Music Teacher within the Paterson Public Schools. The role involves working with elementary and middle school students and requires a strong understanding of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for Visual and Performing Arts. The teacher will be responsible for assessment and data analysis to inform instruction, and must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community. The position is pending budget availability and is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Teacher of Music certificate.
• Knowledge of NJSLS for Visual and Performing Arts.
• Experience working with elementary and middle school students.
• Ability to collaborate effectively.
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes.
• Must be a team player and an original out-of-box thinker.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, administration, and the community.
