About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a music educator to teach private lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, coordinating lesson scheduling with store teams, and sharing musical expertise to support student growth and retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time in Latham, New York. Pay is $16.00 per hour for non-teaching work and $10.50–$21 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• 8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
