About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to grow student enrollment and help each student continue to develop and enjoy playing music, while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves partnering with the store Lessons Lead, providing a positive customer experience, and building trusting relationships with students and their families through frequent communication about student progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on the needs of the community.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate students’ progress and goals with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
