About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varied ages and skill levels. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, coordinating lesson schedules with store teams, and encouraging student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching.

The listed pay is $16 per hour for non-teaching work and $11.50–$28 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Eligible musician employees may take gig leave to perform or tour and return to their job afterward. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
