About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment, support students’ musical growth and enjoyment, and contribute to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves supporting customer service and building lasting relationships with students and their families through regular communication about progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Partner with students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their children.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or their parents.
Frequently share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
