About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student's growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and calls for a Customer First mindset and an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students according to community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and work with students and families through frequent communication. You will build trusting relationships, communicate students' progress, and share goals and progress with students and/or their parents.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, keyboard, or vocals.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and valuing parents' knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student's progress to the student and/or their parents.
Frequently share students' and/or parents' goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
