About The Position

The Music Teacher is responsible for teaching music theory, performance, and appreciation to students. This role includes planning and conducting music classes, performances, and promoting the importance of music education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certification.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and performance.
  • Experience in teaching both vocal and instrumental music.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver music curriculum for students.
  • Teach students music theory, vocal techniques, and instrumental skills.
  • Lead students in performances and music-related activities.
  • Organize school concerts, recitals, and other music events.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on musical development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into the general curriculum.
  • Foster a love of music and creativity in students.
  • Maintain classroom materials and instruments in good condition.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
