About The Position

The Art Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality art instruction to students. This role involves creating and implementing engaging lessons, fostering creativity, and encouraging artistic expression.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certification.
  • Strong knowledge of art techniques, history, and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement art curriculum for various grade levels.
  • Teach students fundamental art techniques, creativity, and art history.
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking through various artistic mediums.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on artistic development.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration.
  • Integrate art education into cross-curricular activities.
  • Participate in school-wide events, art exhibits, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with staff to support the overall mission of the school.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
