About The Position

This role is responsible for prospecting, engaging, and acquiring new business across specific business lines, including Temperature Control, Intermodal, and Truckload. The Multimodal Sales Executive will drive volume and margin growth in their assigned territory by understanding customer needs and consulting them on innovative multimodal solutions. This position involves leading commercial relationships, preparing and presenting value proposals, developing and executing growth strategies, and maintaining company-defined margins while improving yield and mode mix. The role requires developing and maintaining strategic multi-level customer relationships, leveraging technology (CRM) for pipeline management, and collaborating internally with various Hub Group departments to develop customer solutions. The executive will be responsible for volume, revenue, margin, and profitability growth for focus accounts and must meet and exceed sales goals. Approximately 80% of the time will be spent interacting with customers, and 20% in the office.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 3 years relevant experience in supply chain/logistics/transportation preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills to executive audience required.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication aptitude and proven ability to provide creative suggestions and vision relative to closing on targeted strategic accounts.
  • Basic time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and the drive to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to develop business plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license plus insurance required.
  • Ability to travel (as conditions warrant).

  • Drive sales success through internal collaboration with departments like Account Management, Onboarding, Marketing, Pricing, Credit/collections, and Sales Analytics.
  • Maintain responsibility for volume, revenue, margin, and profitability growth for all focus accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales goals.
