About The Position

The Multi-Skilled Technician performs preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, material-handling and dock equipment, refrigeration-related equipment, and electrical and electronic systems. The role operates powered equipment, diagnoses problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools, maintains industrial batteries, and supports other maintenance technicians. It also troubleshoots complex electrical and electronic issues involving equipment networks, logic controls, PLCs, and external I/O devices when the fault is not immediately apparent.

The position requires communicating with individuals and groups, and completing work orders, records, logs, and other documentation in accordance with established procedures. The posted shift is 0630–1700 on Saturday, Sunday, and Friday, with a 30-minute lunch; other schedules may be available and discussed during the interview. The role is based at 22722 Harley Knox Blvd, Perris, California. The hourly wage range is $39.65–$43.15, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specified circumstances. Requirements

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology, including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment; OR 3 years of such industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to use technical drawings, including blueprints and electronic or mechanical schematics, and diagnostic tools such as a multimeter or laptop.
• Ability to perform the equipment, battery, electrical, and electronic maintenance and troubleshooting duties described.

Responsibilities

• Communicate verbally and in writing with individuals and groups, including customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material-handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electrical and electronic equipment.
• Operate material-handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
• Diagnose refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Change industrial batteries for powered equipment, including removing and replacing battery retention plates.
• Inspect, clean, and repair industrial equipment batteries according to procedures.
• Assist other maintenance technicians with equipment repair and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and electronic problems involving equipment networks, logic controls, PLCs, and external I/O devices.
