About The Position

Berkeley County Schools is seeking qualified applicants for a Multi-Categorical Special Education Teacher position for middle school. The successful applicant will work with students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), along with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to be a qualified and effective candidate for the vacancy.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Hold or be able to obtain West Virginia teacher certification in multi-categorical spec. ed. (LD, BD, MI) with appropriate grade levels.
• Endorsement Code 4111: Behavioral Disorders including Autism
• Endorsement Code 4115: Multi-Categorical (LD, BD, MI)

Nice To Haves

• If a certified candidate is unavailable for this position, then an applicant who is eligible for a first-class permit, alternative certification, Teacher-in-Residence, or a perm sub can be considered.
