About The Position

Make a lasting impact in the lives of students and help shape brighter futures! Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students and help them develop skills that promote greater confidence and independence throughout the 2026–2027 school year in Gilbert, AZ. Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained middle school setting, focusing on functional academics, early literacy, communication, socialization, self-help, and vocational skills. Develop and implement individualized instructional activities aligned with students’ academic, functional, communication, and developmental needs. Support students in applying learned skills through structured activities and participation with general education peers. Collaborate with paraprofessional support staff and school personnel to promote student progress, independence, and successful classroom participation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Valid Arizona Special Education teaching Certification in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities (K–12), as applicable
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
Secondary-level and self-contained special education experience preferred
