About The Position

AMD, Inc. is hiring an MTS IT Engineer to perform SAP Basis administration, including certificate management, software installation and setup, upgrades and patches, performance monitoring and tuning, and capacity management using enterprise standards and tools. The role performs change control, incident response, and testing for infrastructure and SAP System changes, and collaborates with service providers and IT teams such as Infrastructure, Networking, and SecOps. The position develops information security procedures and policies; builds, maintains, and upgrades security technology such as firewalls; monitors and analyzes system performance and resource utilization; and designs security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and infrastructure. It also monitors and responds to security breaches, viruses, and intrusions, conducts forensic investigations, safeguards computer-file information, coordinates security documentation and emergency-measure policies and tests, and coordinates network and system security monitoring. The role applies knowledge of enterprise applications including SAP, E2Open, AgilePLM, application integrations in heterogeneous environments, and cloud technologies including SAP BTP, IBP, Concur, Ariba, and SuccessFactors. It also uses knowledge of information security practices, operating systems, infrastructure configurations, networks, firewalls, finance, supply chain, inventory management, master data management, spend management, and AI technologies. No travel is required. Multiple openings are available.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
Three years of experience with SAP Basis, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Architecture, SAP Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution, Kernel and HANA Database, Machine Learning, and open-source SAP integrations.

Responsibilities

Perform SAP Basis administration, including certificate management, software installation and setup, upgrades and patches, performance monitoring and tuning, and capacity management.
Perform change control, incident response, and testing for infrastructure changes and changes related to SAP Systems.
Collaborate with service providers and IT functions, including Infrastructure, Networking, and SecOps, on ongoing tasks.
Develop information security procedures and policies.
Build, maintain, and upgrade security technology, such as firewalls.
Monitor, analyze, and identify trends in system performance and resource utilization.
Design and implement security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructure.
Monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions, and perform forensic investigations.
Plan, coordinate, and implement measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
Coordinate documentation of computer security and emergency-measure policies, procedures, or tests.
Coordinate monitoring of networks or systems for security breaches or intrusions.
Apply knowledge of enterprise applications, application integrations, cloud technologies, information security, operating systems, infrastructure, networking, business domains, and AI technologies.
