MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist: 40 Hours per Week (AM/PM)
About The Position
This individual is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. Testing will include waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The individual will report all test results according to established procedures, participate fully in quality control procedures, and comply with departmental quality assurance and quality management standards and applicable JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other agency requirements. Specimen collection will be performed as necessary. The position is 40 hours per week, scheduled as three 12-hour shifts per week, with every-third-weekend and weekend and/or holiday rotation.
Requirements
- For the MLT role: an associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- For the MT role: a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training is preferred for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
Responsibilities
