About The Position

Aktion Associates is a North American ERP software reseller in the top 20 of the VAR 100 reseller market and top workplaces in 2026. We have a high-growth technical environment with a workforce of over 300 professionals. The workforce is highly skilled and consists of application consultants, software engineers, and networking engineers located throughout the U.S and Canada. MSP Engineer / Consultant Role and Responsibilities : Work as a Field Network Engineer who has some experience working with a Managed Service Provider, architecting, monitoring, and maintaining client technology network, cloud, and server infrastructure. Serve as a Technology Advisor, meeting frequently to discuss opportunities to improve the client’s environment with the latest technology, including CyberSecurity and cloud-based solutions to support customer goals. Provide advanced Microsoft 365 engineering and consulting services across multiple client environments, including architecture, migrations, troubleshooting, security hardening, licensing, and user adoption initiatives. Balance multiple customers’ requests, smaller projects, and necessary meetings while meeting customer satisfaction expectations. Flexibility for working after business hours and weekends is required at times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working with customer support in the field of computer systems, servers, and networking in a Managed Services or similar computer consulting field.
  • Strong skills in Network skill sets, configuring maintaining, and other vendors (i.e., SonicWall, Meraki) firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft M365 range of products focusing on messaging and security solutions.
  • Required proficiency with cybersecurity platforms such as SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, Duo, or comparable enterprise security solutions.
  • Willing to travel locally 1-2 days a week may be required but the ability to work and solve most technical issues through remote support is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certifications in any of these technologies will be highly considered.
  • Experience with Sage 300 CRE would be very helpful but not required for this role.
  • Other skills such as SAGE 300 & 100, Linux, SAN Storage, Mobile deployments, FACTS, and Disaster Recovery would-be a plus but not required.
