About The Position
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Infrastructure Engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments. This is not a traditional cloud-only engineering role. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across cloud infrastructure, enterprise storage, virtualization, and advanced networking, serving as the technical escalation point for critical infrastructure and project initiatives. You'll design, implement, optimize, and support highly available environments while partnering with internal teams and clients to solve challenging technical problems. As a Level 3 Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting and supporting enterprise infrastructure across cloud platforms, storage systems, virtualization, networking, and backup technologies. You'll lead complex migrations, troubleshoot high-impact issues, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while maintaining a strong customer-service mindset.

- 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience

Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions
- Lead complex server, storage, virtualization, and cloud projects
- Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for infrastructure-related issues
- Perform root cause analysis for critical outages
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standards
- Recommend infrastructure improvements based on performance, scalability, and security
- Deploy and administer Microsoft Azure environments
- Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and storage services
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and Intune
- Assist with cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure designs
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
- Administer enterprise storage platforms such as Pure Storage, Dell EMC Unity, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, HPE Alletra / Nimble
- Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation and management, volume expansion, snapshot management, replication, performance tuning, storage migrations, and high availability configurations
- Administer VMware vSphere ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V, Cluster administration, High Availability, Live Migration, Storage vMotion, and Resource optimization
- Implement and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLAN design and implementation, Inter-VLAN routing, Spanning Tree Protocol, Link Aggregation (LACP), OSPF, BGP (preferred), Static routing, ACLs, NAT, VPN technologies, High Availability, QoS, and network segmentation
- Configure enterprise firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA / Firepower, or SonicWall
- Configure enterprise switches including Cisco, Aruba, HPE, or Juniper
- Support Veeam Backup & Replication, Azure Backup, Disaster Recovery planning, Backup validation, Restore testing, and Immutable backups
- Implement infrastructure hardening, Microsoft Defender, MFA, Conditional Access, Zero Trust principles, Vulnerability remediation, and Patch management
- Resolve complex infrastructure issues with minimal oversight.
- Design resilient, scalable cloud and on-premises solutions.
- Optimize enterprise storage performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues.
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to operational excellence.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high technical standards.
