About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a level 6 Integrated Program Planning Senior Manager (MRP Planning/Scheduling) to join their Manufacturing team in King of Prussia, PA. This role involves leading a team of production schedulers, resource planners, and first-line leaders, driving the implementation of Enterprise Planning strategic objectives, and leading SAP Scheduling initiatives. The position also requires managing material flow through the supply chain, utilizing ERP systems for resource and capacity planning, facilitating production center staffing models, and leading data management for planning KPIs. The role supports the production of weapon systems, ground support equipment, and satellite electronics boxes by expediting and managing material flow in alignment with the production schedule. Collaboration with leaders, stakeholders, customers, and suppliers is essential for problem-solving and achieving strategic goals.

Requirements

  • 10 - 12 years of closely related experience in Planning or Production (Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Program/Project Management, etc)
  • Experience working within an ERP/MRP system
  • Experience creating/managing manufacturing schedules
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret government security clearance
  • Ability to perform occasional weekend work
  • Ability to travel as/if required

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of closely related experience in Planning or Production (Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Program/Project Management, etc)
  • Bachelors (or Masters) degree in a discipline related to Production or Planning (Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Program/Project Management, etc)
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated experience leading planning and/or scheduling teams in a high rate manufacturing environment
  • Experience using SAP as an ERP system
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Open Plan or similar scheduling software tools to create or manage the creation and maintenance of manufacturing schedules
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of staffing and Long Range Planning (LRP)
  • Ability to lead/work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and cultivate change
  • Demonstrated experience communicating/briefing executives, leaders, and customers
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end lifecycle of planning and schedule management in support of program capture and implementation
  • Familiarity with Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) concepts

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, mentor, develop, and provide performance management for a diverse team of production schedulers, resource planners and first line leaders
  • Lead the team and drive implementation of Enterprise Planning strategic objectives
  • Lead SAP Scheduling initiatives in Valley Forge in coordination with the Space Enterprise Planning Central Organization
  • Lead the team to conduct contingency schedule planning to find efficiencies in work processes and mitigate delays
  • Lead the team that manages material flow through the supply chain to meet the production floor needs and customer requirements
  • Lead the use of ERP systems to facilitate resource and capacity planning and manage key tasks that support program success
  • Facilitate/manage production center staffing models and long-range planning for the manufacturing center
  • Lead and monitor data management resulting in improvements to planning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead the use of data to develop and report on metrics that support process improvement initiatives to improve cost and schedule performance and facilitate program success
  • Provide insight and expertise to improve planning and scheduling processes and procedures
  • Support production of weapon systems, ground support equipment and satellite electronics boxes by expediting and managing material flow in alignment with the production schedule
  • Engage with leaders, site stakeholders, internal/external customers/suppliers and other cross-functional area stakeholders to solve complex problems and ensure achievement of strategic goals and initiatives
