About The Position

CTL Aerospace is a full service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company and MRO providing services to the major aerospace and governmental organizations since 1946. We are seeking a talented professional to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as a Repair Quality Engineer at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio MRO Division (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or Northern Kentucky). CTL MRO Division specializes in composite and metallic components for commercial aircraft engines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an Aerospace Repair Quality Engineer with a detail-oriented approach to work in an empowered setting with a broad range of duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an aerospace/aviation engineering role, preferably at an MRO/Part 145 component repair station or aviation inspection/mechanic experience.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • American Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interact with people on the shop floor, good social skills, and able to work with diverse work groups.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiarity with GE/CFM Engine Shop Manuals and Standard Practices.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License or prior FAA Repairman Certificate.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • Airline and/or MRO experience.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Prior manufacturing or fabrication experience.
  • CMM operating and/or programming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review engine components and repair procedures for part repair and overhaul.
  • Inspection of engine components.
  • Review/Approve written and illustrated repair plans, bills of material and outside purchase specifications per engineering drawings/specifications.
  • Provide training and support for QC Inspectors.
  • Participate in quality/engineering review of discrepant parts including Cause and Corrective Action.
  • Coordinate new and current business requirements with Production, Contracts and Engineering.
  • Support Production in delivery of products to customers on schedule.
