About The Position

The University of Minnesota Medical Center – West Bank Campus is seeking an MRI Technologist to join its MRI team. The team supports adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of specialties and works closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, anesthesia teams, and other clinical partners throughout the hospital. The position offers an opportunity to grow professionally, expand responsibilities beyond the scanner, and remain hands-on clinically. This benefit-eligible position is 0.8 FTE (64 hours). The current schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with occasional call rotation and weekends as needed. If most allocated shift hours are worked between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., those hours receive an additional $6.00 per hour on top of the base rate and shift differentials. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $12,000, prorated based on experience.

Requirements

Technical Certificate or Associate of Science in Radiology.
ARRT Radiology Tech certification.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

Previous healthcare experience.
Previous Lead MRI Technologist experience.
One year of experience in a related role.
Additional certifications in Imaging.
ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 1.5 years.
Strong interpersonal skills.
