About The Position

Deaconess Illinois is hiring an MRI Technologist to join its Imaging team. The role is open to experienced technologists and new graduates and involves performing MRI examinations that assist physicians and radiologists in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, on the evening shift. The technologist will work with an experienced imaging team and provide high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• ARRT certification required.
• MRI certification/registry required.
• Illinois IEMA certification required within six months of hire.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience as a staff technologist is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients throughout their exams.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow departmental procedures.
• Participate in required call and hospital rotation.
