About The Position

The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures on inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients using a high-field magnetic scanner and associated equipment. The position is full time at 0.90 FTE, with a variable shift and 40 hours per week, onsite at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Eligible external hires may receive a $10,000 hiring bonus, and eligible hires may receive relocation assistance, subject to applicable qualifications and payment conditions.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an AMA-approved training program in a qualified diagnostic imaging modality.
• Within one year of hire, obtain one of the following: National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging; National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists; or National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Obtain National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience in diagnostic imaging.
