About The Position

The MRI Technologist is responsible for producing quality diagnostic medical images and performing technical procedures that apply magnetic fields to detect pathology. The position may include additional duties within the scope of the role. The technologist works at Baptist Medical Center East and must monitor patient conditions, communicate effectively, and assist with moving patients between wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology.
• Active ARRT (R)(MR) registry.
• BLS certification.
• Reasoning ability and good judgment.
• Ability to work within rigid time constraints.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality diagnostic medical images.
• Perform technical procedures using magnetic fields to detect pathology.
• Remain aware of patient condition at all times.
• Assist and maneuver patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of the role.
