About The Position

SimonMed Imaging is hiring an MRI Technologist to provide advanced outpatient imaging. The technologist operates MRI scanners and selects imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition, producing high-resolution diagnostic images across protocols such as brain, spine, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging. The role requires knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and contrast administration, as well as review of images before they are sent to a radiologist. The technologist applies MRI safety procedures throughout each scan, including screening patients, enforcing safety-zone requirements, assessing contrast contraindications, monitoring patients, and responding calmly to unexpected events. The role also includes maintaining complete and current patient documentation, using PACS and imaging software, managing workflow, performing routine quality-control checks, and maintaining equipment. Patient care is a central part of the position. The technologist positions patients comfortably, explains procedures in plain language, and supports a diverse patient population with empathy. The technologist may also mentor staff and students and model clinical best practices. The position is based in an outpatient setting with a predictable schedule, holidays off, and no nights, on-call shifts, or weekends. SimonMed describes opportunities for cross-training, internal mobility, and growth into advanced protocols, leadership, or training roles.
