MRI Technologist II
About The Position
The MRI Technologist performs high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. The role prepares patients for scans, operates MRI equipment, ensures patient safety in the magnetic environment, and captures detailed anatomical images. The technologist provides age-appropriate care, performs procedures in accordance with Radiologist expectations and protocols, follows National Patient Safety goals, reports compliance matters, participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs, and maintains professional development and technical competency. A sign-on bonus of $25,000 and an additional sign-on bonus of up to $24,000 are advertised for eligible hires.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, upon hire.
- Medical Radiographer: Kentucky, upon hire.
- Hold one of the listed Registered Technologist credentials upon hire: Radiography (ARRT), Bone Densitometry, Computed Tomography, Cardio Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Quality Management, Radiation Therapy, Vascular Interventional Radiography, or Vascular Sonography.
- Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 12 months.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for MRI scans and provide care appropriate to their age.
- Operate MRI equipment and perform high-quality imaging procedures according to Radiologist expectations and protocols.
- Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment and capture detailed anatomical images.
- Comply with National Patient Safety goals.
- Support and report identified compliance matters.
- Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to promote safety and satisfaction.
- Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
