As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds and conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working various shifts anywhere between 12:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. with weekend requirements. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire/transfer
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or in other imaging modalities

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination.
  • Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.
  • Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
  • Operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
  • Maintain available equipment of the highest level for patient accessibility.
  • Processes billing via RIS.
  • Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
  • Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
