About The Position

Guardian Veterinary Specialists is hiring a Veterinary MRI Technician to support advanced diagnostic imaging and provide safe, high-quality patient care. The role is at an independent, privately owned specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in Brewster, New York. The technician will work alongside veterinary professionals, including doctors and surgeons, in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Hold an active New York State Veterinary Technician license.
• Have prior veterinary technician experience.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow imaging protocols and equipment safety procedures.
• Have excellent interpersonal and client education skills, with a compassionate, professional approach.
• Bring a dependable, proactive, and collaborative attitude and a genuine commitment to patient care.
• Demonstrate adaptability and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and CT scans, adjust scanning techniques, and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Safely position and monitor patients, prioritizing their comfort and well-being throughout procedures.
• Troubleshoot imaging issues, perform routine equipment checks, and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized imaging suite and follow MRI safety and restricted-access protocols.
• Work closely with veterinarians and hospital staff to support imaging procedures and additional hospital needs.
