About The Position
Performs all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging including but not limited to neuro, dynamic under the direct supervision of the Radiologist. He/She is required to provide high quality examinations in accordance with the protocols and policies of the Imaging Department while providing safe compassionate care to the patient. Shall be proficient in the operation of all equipment associated with the performance of scanning, including the MRI unit, its accessories, injectors, teleradiology, monitors and laser camera. Reports directly to the Director of Imaging. Is accountable for the professional and technical ability to perform high quality examinations with minimal supervision and within the protocols and guidelines set by the Department of Imaging Services. He/She has the responsibility of protection and safety to themselves, the patients and co-workers. He/She is expected to maintain high standards of technical competence and be an example and assist other technical personnel and student radiographers within the department. Technologists are required to participate in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
- LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- 1 year experience

Responsibilities
- Use MRI equipment to create cross-sectional image scans of patients to help doctors diagnose and treat illness or disease
- Interact directly with patients and physicians
- May administer intravenous injections of contrast dyes
- Maintain safety measures that are specific to MRI
- Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed
- Ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe
