About The Position

This position is within the Computed Tomography department, specifically working with the pediatric population at a pediatric hospital. The role involves performing all CT procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality patient care services. The shift information is Thursday 8:30 AM - 10:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 10:00 PM, and Sunday 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM. A sign-on bonus is available for full-time positions, but not applicable to current or recently employed VUMC staff.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
1 year relevant work experience
LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
Patient Documentation (Novice)
Compliance (Novice)
Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Novice)
Radiology (Novice)

Responsibilities

Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
Provides appropriate radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
Performs all CT procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered.
