About The Position

EP² provides complete power management systems for commercial and utility industries for power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Mounting Technician is located in Des Moines, Iowa, and is an essential member of Electrical Power Products, Inc.’s production and assembly team. Reporting to the Mounting Foreman, this individual assembles and installs electrical structures and components according to layout and wiring diagram drawings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Close attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and strong organization.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to assist and support others.

Responsibilities

• Read wiring, layout, and structural drawings.
• Operate department tools and equipment.
• Perform phases and types of panel assembly and equipment installation.
• Install nameplates and mimic.
• Provide proper clearance for equipment operation and customer wiring to eliminate interferences.
• Identify potential errors or discrepancies in wiring, layout, and structural drawings and bring them to the proper authority.
• Install electrical components according to layout and wiring diagram drawings.
• Fabricate panel cutouts using a jigsaw.
• Review paperwork.
• Verify that all material matches the bill of materials.
