About The Position
EP² provides complete power management systems for commercial and utility industries for power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Mounting Technician supports Electrical Power Products, Inc.’s production and assembly operations by assembling and installing electrical structures and components according to layout and wiring diagram drawings. The position is located in Des Moines, Iowa, and reports to the Mounting Foreman.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and organization.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to assist and support others.
Responsibilities
- Read wiring, layout, and structural drawings.
- Operate department tools and equipment.
- Perform phases and types of panel assembly and equipment installation.
- Install nameplates and mimic.
- Provide proper clearance for equipment operations and customer wiring to eliminate interferences.
- Identify possible errors or discrepancies in wiring, layout, and structural drawings and bring them to the proper authority.
- Install electrical components according to layout and wiring diagram drawings.
- Fabricate panel cutouts using a jigsaw.
- Review paperwork.
- Verify that materials match the bill of materials.
