About The Position
EP² provides power management systems for commercial and utility industries involved in power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Mounting Technician is located in Des Moines, Iowa, and reports to the Mounting Foreman. The role supports production and assembly by assembling and installing electrical structures and components according to layout and wiring diagram drawings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and good organization.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to assist and support others.
Responsibilities
- Read wiring, layout, and structural drawings.
- Operate department tools and equipment.
- Perform phases and types of panel assembly and equipment installation.
- Install nameplates and mimic.
- Provide appropriate clearance for equipment operation and customer wiring to prevent interference.
- Identify possible errors or discrepancies in wiring, layout, and structural drawings and bring them to the appropriate authority.
- Install electrical components according to layout and wiring diagram drawings.
- Fabricate panel cutouts using a jigsaw.
