About The Position
Eldora Mountain Resort is seeking a Mountain Axess Coordinator to ensure that every passenger who rides the lift has a valid ticket. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient and safe lift operations by overseeing the ticket checking process and guest flow through the maze and RFID gate areas. The coordinator will also assist lift operators and foremen with various duties, including setup and teardown, and will focus on providing excellent customer service while resolving ticket issues and identifying potential fraud. This position offers a unique work environment at Eldora, a premier winter mountain playground near Nederland, Colorado.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
- Must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level.
- Ability to recognize and resolve ticket issues.
- Ability to communicate in an effective, professional manner.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work on the mountain, which consists of being primarily outside and requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that every passenger who rides the lift has a valid ticket.
- Oversee lift operations crew in checking tickets diligently and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, effective flow of guests through the maze and RFID gate areas.
- Provide excellent customer service and recognize/resolve ticket issues.
- Assist lift operators and lift operations foremen with duties such as set-up and tear-down.
- Oversee a team of lift operators regarding crowd-control and ticket checking responsibilities.
- Establish effective communication and teamwork with lift operations foremen.
- Train lift operators on RFID Gate and Tablet functions.
- Train lift operators on common ticket issues and ways to resolve them.
- Train lift operators in techniques for catching fraudulent passes.
- Maintain a steady flow of customers through RFID Gates by coaching and assisting guests.
- Ensure that every guest has their ticket scanned every time they come through.
- Maintain a safe, physically distanced, efficient flow of guests through the maze.
- Effectively handle situations involving disgruntled or frustrated guests.
- Escort guests who are having ticket issues to the ticketing office.
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests.
- Escort possible pass fraud violations to the ticketing office.
- Work with Ticket office supervisors to ensure that any pass fraud is filed with the proper paperwork.
- Use a radio to communicate in an effective, professional manner.
- Work outdoors in adverse conditions for prolonged periods of time.
- Understand and demonstrate proper setup for every base area lift maze.
- Work with lift operations foremen and management to establish safe, effective maze areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
- Support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in the Sustainable Transportation Program.
- Accept new responsibilities and transfer others as the role evolves.
