About The Position
Specialty Motorsports is seeking a high-energy Motorcycle Purchasing Agent to find and purchase motorcycles and powersports vehicles, negotiate with sellers, and help customers sell through the dealership’s consignment program. The role involves researching pricing, vehicle condition, and resale potential; developing a network of sellers; and maintaining an active purchasing pipeline and appealing inventory. The position offers hourly pay plus commission for every bike purchased, with opportunities to advance as the company grows. The workplace is described as fast-moving, upbeat, and team-oriented, surrounded by motorcycles.
Requirements
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and powersports.
- A personable manner and willingness to make phone calls.
- Enjoyment of negotiating and closing deals.
- Motivation to earn commissions.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Positive energy, ambition, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Find motorcycles and powersports deals.
- Connect with private sellers and negotiate purchases.
- Buy motorcycles directly from customers at the dealership.
- Help customers sell motorcycles through the consignment program.
- Research vehicle pricing, condition, and resale potential.
- Build a network of sellers.
- Keep the buying pipeline full and inventory exciting.
