Motors Engineer II

Milwaukee Tool•Brookfield, MT

About The Position

The Motor Engineer II collaborates with local cross-functional, Global Motor Engineering, and Operations teams to create and execute test plans that verify motor performance and thermal limits against project requirements. The role develops and applies a platform-based approach to motor design to support consistent, efficient mass production of Milwaukee motors and products worldwide. The engineer independently designs, prototypes, tests, and troubleshoots motors for projects of mid to high complexity. The position involves hands-on power-tool experiments, simulations, data analysis, and failure analysis, as well as project and workflow management. The Motor Engineer II communicates progress and risks across the organization, provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, and works with suppliers and manufacturers on component selection and future product needs. The role also supports technical meetings and presentations, develops knowledge of development and manufacturing processes, and designs and qualifies solutions to applicable regulatory standards.
