About The Position

This role is for an engineer who has experience with motor drives or inverters and is looking for the next challenge. The engineer will own boards and subsystems on Taurus-class controllers, including gate drive, sense path, auxiliary supplies, layout revisions, bring-up, and testing. The senior engineer will own the architecture, while this role focuses on execution and shipping products.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in power electronics, motor drives, inverters, or high-reliability mixed-signal boards.
Working knowledge of MOSFETs or SiC FETs, gate drivers, current-sense amps, isolated supplies, PWM stages.
Schematic capture and the ability to read and provide feedback on layouts (Altium preferred).
Hands-on lab experience, including proficient use of a differential probe.
BSEE or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

Design and revise Taurus sections: gate drive, current/voltage sensing, housekeeping supplies, connectors, protection.
Capture schematics and drive layout constraints for high-dv/dt, creepage, and thermal performance.
Bring up prototypes: first power, functional checks, load, thermal and EMI debug, working with lab and firmware teams.
Write test procedures, support production, and resolve bench and field issues.
