About The Position
The Board makes decisions concerning the upkeep and improvement of the levee system that protects Mandan from Heart River flooding, as well as the upkeep and improvement of the interior drainage system. The District meets on the second Thursday of each month. Three appointments are available, each for a three-year term expiring December 31, 2029. Any qualified elector of the Morton County Lower Heart Water Resource District is eligible for appointment. The application deadline is December 15, 2026.
Requirements
- Must be a qualified elector of the Morton County Lower Heart Water Resource District.
Responsibilities
- Make decisions regarding upkeep and improvements to the levee system protecting Mandan from Heart River flooding.

- Attend the District's monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month.
