Wasatch Peaks Credit Union currently operates 6 branches in Weber County, Utah. Our foundation is a unique one, with 3 Credit Unions merging into one. The last merger occurred about 12 years ago, bringing together Weber, Alliance, and SummitOne Credit Unions. We serve our members guided by our simple yet powerful mission statement: Exceeding expectations one member at a time. In this role, you will be a critical part of the Mortgage team. You will assist members with their mortgage lending needs, analyze loan requests, and make credit decisions based on mortgage lending policy.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of similar or related experience

- Mortgage Loan Originator License
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate information on mortgage loan documents to determine if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet bank and regulatory standards.
- Approve or reject loan application, or request additional information.
- Establish terms and conditions of an approved loan and review with members.
- Market the Credit Union's mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community, networking and building clientele, working with the Marketing Department to create social media posts and promos.
- Cross-Sell Credit Union Services that will benefit the member.
- Assemble documents in loan file, including acceptance or denial.
- Participate in Continuing Education classes and online webinars.
- Participate in community involvement with Wasatch Peaks.

- Competitive Compensation: $19.50/hour base pay plus unlimited commission opportunities after meeting minimum monthly goals. Mortgage Loan Officers can conservatively earn $46,000+ annually.
