About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Advisor works with a Senior Loan Officer and Sales Manager to achieve established sales goals and learn different aspects of a loan originator position at Huntington. The role originates 1–4 family residential mortgage loans, develops internal and external referral sources to grow business, and cross-sells other bank products to deepen OCR relationships. The advisor must meet all regulatory, quality, and training requirements of a mortgage origination position.

The position works with the Senior Mortgage Loan Officer, sales manager, and operations team to provide customers with exceptional service and meet closing expectations. It also supports internal and external business development, pipeline quality and customer service, and cross-selling through internal OCR activities and relationships with CBB and other partners. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NMLS certification.
• 0–6 months of related experience in the financial services industry.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or 12–24 months of financial or sales-related experience.
• Experience working in or with a retail banking office.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve mortgage loan production goals by originating 1–4 family residential mortgage loans.
• Conduct business development activities with internal and external centers of influence (COIs), including training, coaching, and marketing with branches, internal partners, and external COIs.
• Work with the Senior Mortgage Loan Officer, sales manager, and operations team to provide exceptional customer service and meet closing expectations.
• Meet Huntington criteria for file quality and accuracy and follow customer touchpoints for loan files.
• Participate in internal OCR activities to grow customers’ share of wallet.
• Develop relationships within CBB and with other partners to address customers’ financial needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
