About The Position
Mortgage Field Service Contractors are responsible for documenting the occupancy and physical condition of mortgaged properties. This involves visiting properties to determine if they are occupied or vacant, assessing their general condition (rating them as Good, Fair, or Poor), taking specific photos using a smartphone, and reporting findings via a mobile app. This role is ideal for individuals with flexible schedules, such as those in the gig economy (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc.), who can efficiently complete multiple inspections per hour. The work is performed on a 1099 contractor basis.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must have dependable transportation (good gas mileage is a plus).
- Must have a smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- Must have a printer/scanner (or easy access to both).
- Must have a desktop/laptop or tablet to print forms.
Responsibilities
- Determine if a property is occupied or vacant.
- Rate the property's condition as Good, Fair, or Poor.
- Take photos of the property using a smartphone.
- Fill out a form on a smartphone using a downloadable app.
- Answer multiple-choice questions about the property's condition.
