About The Position

Responsible for the development, management, implementation and ownership of key initiatives to First Community Mortgage business. This role involves recruiting, hiring, training, and managing loan officers, as well as collaborating with marketing departments to develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support mortgage growth. The manager will mentor loan officers to achieve production levels by focusing on realtor/builder relationships, bank branches, and personal contacts. Additionally, the role includes developing bank territories for loan officers, managing marketing budgets, providing reports on goals and projected closings, developing sales meeting curricula, and fostering an active environment for idea sharing among loan officers. The position also requires assisting in building relationships with local realtors, builders, and banking staff, understanding business issues and developing solutions, analyzing results, and reporting recommendations. Frequent travel to the home office or other branches may be required. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 5 years experience in managing a sales team.
  • Working knowledge of Ellie Mae, DU and LP and lending guidelines for the secondary mortgage market.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented, analytical, and organized.
  • Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Balance the management of a team of loan officers.
  • Assist in creating relationships and regular dialogue with local realtors, builders, and banking staff.
  • Understand internal and client business issues, operational constructs, and challenges to develop viable solutions.
  • Perform results analysis, reporting, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Host regular meetings and create an active environment for loan officers to share ideas and success stories.
  • Travel frequently to the home office and/or other branches as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
